Named Business to Business‘ June 2008 Leader To Watch, Mark Holland is the Founder and CIO of MedsFile.com, LLC. Founded in 2004, MedsFile.com allows consumers to store their important medication information, as well as lists of allergies, physicians and emergency contacts in a private, secure online database. This innovative Web-based service can be accessed anytime, anywhere, by a designated party, which includes doctors, nurses, caregivers, hospitals, emergency medical personnel and family members.

Mark developed the concept for MedsFile.com after watching his mother manage medications and supplements for his elderly grandfather. His grandfather took many different medications and supplements daily, and his mother had difficulty keeping track of and sharing this information with multiple physicians and family members. Mark’s business idea was a simple solution to her problem, the very same problem which is experienced by anyone taking medications, or any caregiver monitoring medications.
Prior to founding MedsFile.com, Mark was President and Owner of Kiwi Pictures, a Web design, graphics and video editing firm. He has also served as an Internet consultant for Management Recruiters of Atlanta-Vinings, where he created the company’s logo, developed the Web site, and maintained its database system. Mark has nearly 10 years of Web and graphic design experience and has worked for clients such as Dentistry with a Difference, Upstairs Gallery and Classic Protection, Inc.
In addition to Mark’s professional achievements, Mark has led significant philanthropic projects. One of these was an effort to honor Atlanta Thrasher Dan Snyder, a young hockey player who died of injuries sustained in a car crash in 2003. Mark personally raised thousands of dollars by first selling t-shirts he designed, and then by holding a raffle. The funds he raised will be used to help build an ice hockey arena in Dan’s hometown, Elmira, Ontario, Canada. Mark will be honored with a plaque recognizing his efforts, and will be on hand in September 2009 for the grand opening.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the Georgia State University Robinson School of Business.
